It is necessary to report to the reception desk on arrival to ensure that you are seen in turn. Please let staff know when booking an appointment if you require a longer consultation.
During our busier periods we have scheduled emergency appointments that are held over until the day. These appointments are released at 8.30 am every morning. Although staff endeavour to provide patients with their usual GP, on occasion this may not be possible.
Home visits are available to regular patients who are unable to attend the surgery. Phone messages will be taken by reception staff and passed on to the doctor.
Your doctor will return your call if appropriate, or your call will be returned by a staff member at the doctors’ request. In the event of an emergency your call will be transferred to the doctor immediately.
Wherever possible your test results will be given to you by your doctor. However if your doctor has asked you to phone for results please call between 3.00-4.00 pm and ask to speak to the nurse.
Referrals outside of consultations will be done at the doctors’ discretion. Charges apply to ALL PATIENTS for these out of consultation services and are as follows:
$10.00 minimum:Referral to Specialist/Allied Health
$10.00 minimum:Completion of Form
$ 2.00 per page:Faxing
Please Note: Our doctors require minimum 24 hours notice for all the above items
There are times when patients require urgent access to a GP. Our practice has a system in place to anticipate such needs.
The schedule incorporates set aside emergency appointments that are released at 8.30am every day. Patients are encouraged to call at that time to access these appointments.
